The Technician – Level 2 reports to the Neighborhood Service Coordinator and works primarily at the Villages at Oakleaf community. The role prepares vacant units for new residents by performing repairs, installations, and inspections that meet Venterra’s Total Quality Make Ready standards. Daily travel is limited to a 25‑mile radius around the primary location.
Key duties include completing repairs and cleaning of vacant apartments, performing intermediate‑level plumbing, electrical, appliance, and HVAC tasks, and assisting with painting, carpet cleaning, and exterior touch‑ups. The technician also manages inventory, supports work orders and groundskeeping, maintains the property’s curb appeal, and provides emergency or on‑call maintenance as needed. All work is performed independently while adhering to company standards and focusing on resident satisfaction.
The ideal candidate holds an EPA certification (preferred), has prior make‑ready or maintenance experience, and possesses Venterra’s intermediate‑level plumbing, electrical, appliance, and HVAC certification. Strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritize multiple unit turns, and flexibility for on‑call rotations are required, along with a clean motor‑vehicle record. Physical demands include frequent lifting of 1‑25 lbs, occasional 25‑75 lbs, and rare lifts over 75 lbs.
