The Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice role involves learning through classroom, laboratory, and on‑the‑job training to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, control, and robotics/automation equipment in a complex fulfillment/distribution centre.
As an apprentice you will follow work processes, work safely while job‑shadowing a technical advisor, communicate within a team, work with technical documentation and computers, learn material‑transfer conveyors, identify and fix malfunctions, and gain experience with PLCs, automation engineers, robotic systems, and OEMs.
Once qualified as a Mechatronics Junior Technician you will combine electronic, mechanical, computer and control skills, analyse and repair high‑performance manufacturing systems, perform scheduled and preventive maintenance, interpret technical specifications, install and test equipment, and coordinate with other technicians and machine operators while adhering to safety standards.
Required qualifications include being 18 + with a high school diploma or GED, passing a Mechanical Aptitude Test, basic computer skills, and the ability to travel for a 12‑week training at one of three sites; preferred qualifications include at least one year of preventive maintenance, mechanical/electrical component experience, and experience with compressors and pneumatics.
Physical demands involve repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 49 lb, standing on concrete for long shifts, working in confined spaces, exposure to dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, heights, and handling bulky equipment.

Compensation is estimated at $49,920–$50,586 annually, location on‑site in Somerset, NJ, and the role does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
