  • Correspondence with customer on maintenance and fault issues
  • Ensure compliance of planned maintenance programme
  • Maintain and update documentation accurately
  • Liaise with local team and with Configuration Engineers
  • Working in a pressurised environment, meeting tight deadlines
  • Attend periodic progress meetings alongside other Vix staff
  • Installation and commissioning of on-vehicle and on-street equipment
  • Comply with Health and Safety Standards
  • Rectify system, on-street hardware and on-vehicle hardware faults within SLAs
  • Identify system faults through electrical testing procedures and with Vix software monitoring tools
  • Maintain and drive to improve KPI performance
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Working on Real Time Information systems

We're on the hunt for an engaged and motivated Field Engineer to support, maintain and improve products and ancillary equipment. Your day will include corrective and preventative maintenance. Your primary objective will be to satisfy customer requirements and ensure customer /company SLA and KPI targets and contractual obligations are fully achieved.This role will suit someone with the experience and capabilities listed, ideally located in the broader South-East region in order to provide service geographically from Hampshire, Sussex, Dorset, Brighton & Hove, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, and other regional locations as required. A company vehicle will be provided however it is imperative you are located within the SE region to be considered.

  • Customer Awareness, ability to demonstrate professionalism and effectively interact with customers, delivering excellent and consistent service
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems and procedures
  • Proven experience in a similar environment
  • Experience of GPRS communications
  • Proven experience as a field-based engineer, time-served electrical engineer or a time-served vehicle technician with a demonstrable track record of fault diagnosis of vehicle electrical/electronic systems
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • NVQ or similar in electrical engineering Or Level 3 NVQ or similar in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Experience and/or accreditation as part of The HEA, including Emergency First Aid at Work training and any HERS Found level accreditation
  • NVQ Level 2
  • Ability to work independently to deliver and maintain high standards when unsupervised
  • Working with IT systems with knowledge of applications and basic networking
  • Proven electrical knowledge to diagnose faults
  • Ability to identify best engineering working practices
  • Good customer relationship skills
  • Level 4 Diploma (or similar) in Vehicle Diagnostics
