We have an exciting vacancy within the Infrastructure PDP for a Senior Project Manager to join our Epsom and South‑East practice. The role combines agile work from our Epsom office with time at client sites and supports the delivery of multi‑disciplinary infrastructure projects, primarily in the Defence sector, across RIBA Stages 0‑7.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects to agreed programme, budget and quality targets, defining objectives and strategies, and managing contractual and commercial risks. They will lead, motivate and develop the project team, facilitate communication with clients, subcontractors and internal partners, and oversee commercial trading arrangements and cross‑team collaboration, including with our Global Technology Centres.
Key duties include assembling and owning the project delivery programme, protecting the commercial interests of AtkinsRéalis through accurate invoicing, credit control and earned‑value reporting, and ensuring cash‑flow optimisation throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate has several years of multi‑disciplinary infrastructure project delivery experience, preferably within a consultancy, and holds a background in Project Management, Engineering, Building Surveying or Architecture. A recognised competence such as APM PMQ is desirable, along with experience of NEC3/4 or bespoke contracts, defence market projects, strong client‑facing skills, BIM knowledge and the ability to work with multidisciplinary design teams.
The role may require security clearance, with the vetting process administered by UKSV and a residency requirement of five years in the UK. Candidates should not reference any existing or previous clearance in their application.
At AtkinsRéalis we pride ourselves on a collaborative environment where diverse thoughts, expertise and knowledge are valued equally. We are passionate about our work but maintain a light‑hearted culture, and we support flexible and remote working policies that help employees balance life and work.

Employees benefit from inclusive networks, family‑friendly policies, flexible working arrangements and programmes that support communities, charities and ex‑forces.
We are committed to diversity and inclusion, offering a range of family‑friendly and inclusive employment policies from day one, and we welcome applications from all backgrounds as an Equal Opportunities Employer.
