What you would be doing

  • Utilize computer at workstation to login, enter/review production data and work orders as required.
  • Crosstrain into other job functions providing assistance as necessary or during downtime within the department. Train other Re-roller operators as needed on proper operation, safety practices, and quality procedures.
  • Correct data entry error as needed.
  • Adhere to and follow all quality guidelines. Ensure that all operators continually check product for quality throughout the manufacturing process and that the measurement and chart comparison documentation is filled out properly.
  • Verify that area is restocked at end of shift.
  • Ensure the timely completion of OJT checklists for Operators and Assistants.
  • Coordinate work across all rerolling resources to meet 99% on time shipment target
  • Ensure operators are trained in and perform the required safety and quality checks.
  • Operate hoist and fork truck to lift/transport materials and finished products while adhering to all power industrial equipment rules and safety requirements.
  • Combine released order to improve operational efficiency.
  • Operate machine with minimal supervision to reroll material.

  • 4+ years of machine operator/manufacturing experience required; 1 year rerolling experience required
  • Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (dirty, confined spaces, strict timelines, etc.), attention to detail, and adapt to changing demands
  • Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Ability to read and understand units of measure and perform basic math functions
  • Must be safety conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
  • Pre-stage material for rerollers.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy (inventory data entry, read work orders, etc.); ERP experience preferred
  • 1+ year forklift and/or hoist experience
  • Strong communication skills required (written/verbal)
