Providing technical advice to the project teams on the preparation of Material Acceptance Requests, monitoring any subsequent feedback and any technical queries thereon for concrete, asphalt, earthworks materials, aggregates, reinforcing steel and any other relevant construction materials.
Development of templates for testing and technical assurance;
Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implemented on the project.
Review of requirements register and advise technical assurance team;
Developing a detailed understanding of project specifications and the technical aspects of the proposed construction materials design, supply, use and testing with the site project team and/or designer and/or client.
Give support and advice to testing engineers and technicians on test methods and interpretation of results.

A full driving license is appreciated
Degree / Masters Degree or HND /HNC / NVQ in Civil / Materials Engineering or other degree relevant to construction-related activities.
Ability to support audits and plant inspections of production plants used in the manufacture of concrete, asphalt, un-bound and hydraulically bound materials and aggregates.
Good communication skills, both written and verbally
Willingness to work overtime, which may also include weekend and/or night working;
Engagement with supply chain/ subcontractors, support of engineering, procurement, and construction teams;
Reliable with excellent timekeeping;
Ability to work individually and as part of a team;
Have sufficient literary and IT skills to produce reports and technical guidance, procedures, checklists etc for publishing on the company intranet
Preferably an industry-accredited safety training eg. CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
Ability to advise on required derogations and amendments of requirements, specifications, etc;
