Technicians use EquipmentShare’s proprietary T3 platform to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues across hundreds of makes and models. They are expected to practice safe repair methods, work independently on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, and maintain accurate electronic documentation daily. The role also includes training lower‑level technicians, assisting with equipment and parts logistics, and staying knowledgeable of OSHA requirements.
- Use tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues from data.
- Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
- Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment using independent judgment.
- Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
- Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed daily.
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
- Participate in year‑round company‑provided OEM training.

Required qualifications include ownership of necessary tools, advanced mechanical aptitude, deep knowledge of construction equipment and schematics, strong customer service and communication skills, a high school diploma (trade school preferred), and preferred experience in field service, maintenance, and repair. Physical demands involve frequent moving, standing, stooping, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lb. The position is safety‑sensitive and requires passing a 10‑panel drug screen and background check.
- Use laptops and tablets comfortably.
- Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred).
- Must own tools applicable to position.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
- High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred.
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Pass a 10‑panel drug screen and background check (safety‑sensitive position).
