Enterprise Architect

As an Enterprise Architect, you’ll play a critical role in shaping Ausgrid’s technology strategy, with a particular focus on Operational Technology (OT), Cloud and Operations. You’ll work closely with business leaders, solution architects, and delivery teams to translate business vision into actionable technology roadmaps that support our energy transition and digital transformation.

• Communicating complex technical concepts in business-focused language by translating complex challenges into strategic, actionable solutions.
• Collaborating with federated architecture teams to ensure consistency and alignment.
• Managing technical debt and architecture risks across OT, Cloud and Operations environments.
• Lead the development of enterprise-wide architecture strategies focused on Operational Technology (OT), Cloud and Operations
• Coaching IT professionals to maintain an enterprise-wide architectural view.
• Developing and maintaining reference architectures and capability models for OT, Cloud and Operations domains.
• Supporting enterprise planning, investment prioritisation, and transformation programs.
• Drive alignment across business capabilities, reference architectures, and transformation programs.
• Join us to drive business transformation, partnering closely with stakeholders to deliver measurable value across the enterprise.
• Leading architecture governance and championing adoption of standards and methods.
• Ensuring architecture supports secure, scalable, and resilient OT systems and cloud platforms.
• Champion architectural governance and innovation across Ausgrid’s federated architecture model.
• Play a key role in supporting the management of Ausgrid’s Technology function as we embark on our transformative journey!
• Creating domain-specific roadmaps and target states aligned to strategic priorities, including application dispositioning.
• Engaging with industry to bring forward innovative perspectives and trends.

• Familiarity with utility domain operations and integration of OT systems with enterprise platforms.
• Experience designing and governing architectures for OT environments.
• Continuous learning mindset and contribution to team knowledge sharing.
• Experience in cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud environments.
• We’re seeking Enterprise Architects who excel as business consultants—translating complex challenges into strategic, actionable solutions.
• Understanding of OT-specific security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Deep understanding of business capability mapping and strategic alignment.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (specifically Azure).
• Exposure to AI technologies and self-directed learning in emerging tech.
• Strong capability in architecture modelling, design, and use of modelling tools.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
• Experience applying EA frameworks, principles, and governance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• TOGAF or equivalent EA certification.
