The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. This role handles lease signings, acts as a landlord on behalf of property owners, and ensures smooth resident onboarding and retention.
- Respond to phone and online inquiries and schedule virtual, self‑guided, and in‑person tours.
- Qualify prospects, process applications and deposits while complying with Fair Housing rules.
- Maintain availability reports, conduct credit and rental‑history checks, and submit applications for approval.
- Follow up with Community Managers on applicant status and obtain necessary approvals.
- Show apartments, finalize leases, prepare units for move‑in, collect signatures, and provide orientation.
- Manage the property’s social‑media channels to boost visibility and engagement.
- Address resident complaints and requests promptly to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Generate leads, schedule appointments, conduct tours, and maintain showrooms to close sales.
- Apply marketing strategies within budget limits, including competitive rates, referrals and promotions.
- Promote a positive community image to achieve property goals and public recognition.
- Organize resident events and attend after‑hours functions to foster community retention.
- Complete lease, move‑in, and check‑out paperwork efficiently during peak periods.
- Participate in weekly and daily goal‑setting meetings.
- Coordinate with maintenance to ensure timely resolution of resident service requests.

Applicants should have an associate's degree or equivalent, or six months to one year of related experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software. A valid driver’s license is required.
The position may require extended periods of sitting at a desk, occasional stair climbing, reading documents and screens, and lifting items up to 20 pounds. Work is primarily office‑based on site but may involve occasional outdoor exposure in an open, bright, and noisy environment.
