Production Worker

Description

The employee assists painters, machine operators, welders, material handlers, and leadpersons in their work, performing supportive tasks under close supervision.

Key duties include loading and unloading metal parts on the paint and bus insulation lines, moving parts between operations, assembling kits, performing preventative maintenance, and handling occasional labor tasks such as painting, grinding, sanding, or cleaning, while maintaining a clean work area.

• Load unpainted metal parts onto the Paint Line.
• Load copper bars and pipe onto the Bus Insulation Line Conveyor.
• Unload painted metal parts and attach identification labels.
• Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on line equipment and facilities.
• Transfer parts between manufacturing operations according to routing.
• Remove finished parts from sheet metal skeletons.
• Sort and stack parts by part and job number.
• Assemble kits of parts for welding.
• Assist machine operators as needed.
• Follow company operating procedures, safety rules, and ISO requirements.
• Read mechanical parts or assembly drawings.
• Use a linear tape measure.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform end‑of‑shift cleanup.
• Use computer software to control equipment or retrieve company information.
• Apply basic math, reading, and writing skills to job functions.

Requirements

• Perform occasional labor tasks such as painting, grinding, sanding, or cleaning; lift up to 50 lb consistently.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Work independently or in a small team with minimal supervision.
