In this role you will help customers feel valued and stay connected, providing care, respect and practical support that improves lives. You will assist with daily tasks, encourage independence, celebrate achievements and create a safe, dignified environment. Collaboration with colleagues is essential to empower customers, particularly those experiencing homelessness, toward independent accommodation.
You will work on a rota pattern from 8 am to 8 pm, including every third weekend, and may undertake occasional lone working as part of a team of five. An Enhanced DBS with barring list is required and will be funded by the employer.
The Support Worker role pays £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum) and is a permanent, full‑time position (37.5 hpw) based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Home Group cannot offer a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role. The position is part of the Home, a place where you belong, and is aimed at supporting customers to live independently.
Home Group offers more than a job; you receive great training, supportive colleagues and the chance to make a real difference every day. The organisation is recognised as one of the UK’s top 10 Great Places to Work and promotes inclusion, wellbeing and diverse networks.
Benefits include 34 days of leave (rising to 39) with a dedicated ‘me day’, a health cash plan covering dental, optical and other therapies for you and your children, over 800 high‑street discounts, matching pension contributions up to 7% and life insurance of three times your basic salary. Additional perks are instant pay through Stream and clear career progression opportunities.
