Monitor construction progress both remotely and via on-site inspections and support resolution of any field issues.
Assist in the development of new projects by analyzing conceptual designs and RFQ specifications.
Track design schedules, update all stakeholders, and ensure that critical deadlines are met
Support the Electrical Engineering Director and upper management with strategic planning, resource planning and defining goals for the electrical team.
Provide procurement technical support, including preparation of specifications, vendor evaluations, support for technical RFPs, review of technical offers and shop drawings, and participation in factory visits and FAT inspections.
Manage up to 2 or 3 junior engineers – provide guidance on issues faced during engineering design, construction and placed in service of projects
Coordinate with operations engineering when reviewing designs.

Implement industry best practices and project lessons within the Electrical Engineering team.
Conduct thorough design reviews of electrical deliverables (drawings, technical specifications and studies): DC and AC collection system for wind, solar, energy storage and HV substation
Attend on-site meetings with electrical construction contractors and in person coordination meetings with interconnection utilities.
Review conceptual project designs that comply with all critical owner and interconnection requirements
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry technology.
Conduct regular meetings with the assigned team, supervise their projects, and perform performance reviews for team members.
Develop standard designs, processes and procedures within Electrical Engineering.
Define the scope of all required electrical system studies and review results for accuracy and compliance

Ability to concurrently coordinate and manage multiple projects with various teams.
Experience managing and building multi-disciplined engineering teams.
Experience with HV/MV electrical equipment for use in the Renewable Energy field.
Valid Driver's license.
Some travel required (up to 15%).
Experience with HV/MV electrical infrastructure (substations/switchyards, distribution systems, transmission lines, transformers.) and construction of such infrastructure
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Master’s Degree or Professional Engineering license.
Practical experience in construction of HV electrical systems and associated Renewable Energy construction.
