The Project Surveyor will oversee all phases of surveying across multiple projects under the direct supervision of a Licensed Surveyor. This role involves assisting the Licensed Surveyor by organizing, managing, and executing various types of surveys while also reviewing all prepared work.
The incumbent will handle project‑management duties such as understanding contract negotiations, client billing, and contract amendments for scope changes, all under the guidance of a Licensed Land Surveyor. They will plan, organize, direct, and control project team activities, collaborate with management to develop scopes, schedules, and maintain budgets, and cultivate working relationships with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and relevant agencies.
Under supervision, the Project Surveyor will work with field and office personnel to produce record of surveys, ALTA surveys, plats, legal descriptions, topographic surveys, lot‑line adjustments, easement exhibits, and other required documents. Responsibilities include reducing field notes, generating accurate surfaces and contours in AutoCAD, performing site checks, conducting property research, creating 3D models from point clouds, adjusting GPS control networks, and resolving boundary issues according to legal principles.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and possess at least five years of relevant land‑surveying experience. A Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification is required, with a full license preferred, along with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam, and general computer skills.
