Senior Cost Controller - Defence Infrastructure (WA)

Description

• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking actual costs, commitments, and forecasts.
• Support change control processes, assessing variations, scope changes, and their financial impacts.
• Analyse cost data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide input into risk management and mitigation planning from a cost perspective.
• Collaborate with schedulers to ensure alignment between time and cost forecasts.
• Monitor financial performance, identify cost variances, and assess impacts.
• Prepare clear, detailed cost reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and clients.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with cost management systems (e.g., PRISM, SAP, Aconex) is advantageous.
• 7–10 years of experience in cost control, quantity surveying, or estimating, preferably within Defence, or building and infrastructure projects.
• Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
• Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and manage contractual obligations.
