  • Read and interpret operational manuals, electrical schematics, universal generator literature, and work orders to perform required maintenance and/or repairs
  • Random Drug/other testing or data collection which may be required to meet customer site access requirements.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of generators both during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends and holidays as directed
  • Conducting equipment commissioning for the industrial and MPS products
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service manager in a timely manner
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and/or repairs of generators

  • Daily road travel is monitored by vehicle GPS.
  • Understand components and operation of an electrical distribution system
  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Perform technical skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of generators
  • Experienced in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology
  • Strict adherence to proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working in the field, which may include: eye and hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, ESD/spark/fire resistant uniform, or face shields.
  • 8 years servicing and troubleshooting of Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)
  • Stays current on NFPA and State regulations for EPSS
  • Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Extreme weather conditions, as well as noisy and confined environments are additional exposures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to make independent decisions, and work with minimal supervision
