Pipelayer- Plant

Description

• Direct trenching, grading, and prepare pipe‑laying areas.
• Perform general labor tasks and assist equipment operators.
• Signal equipment operators and backfill around pipe using hand tools.
• Set up and operate pipe lasers and transits to locate and mark pipe positions.
• Assemble and install valves, fittings, and various pipe materials (metal, PVC, ductile iron, concrete).
• Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, or solvent cement.
• Test pipes for leaks and cut as needed.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine work procedures.
• Stand and work all day while completing assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum two years installing large‑diameter water, sewer, or storm‑drain pipes.
• Obtain Garney certifications: Rigging & Signaling, Confined Space, OSHA 10‑hour.
