Coordinates with QE on Rework, Repair and Warranty work in plant.
Initiates sub-contract work, when necessary, to meet Master Schedule completion dates. Evaluates load vs. capacity to identify and act on overload situations.
Maintains and prepares manufacturing status reports and charts according to established production goals. Serves as Engineering Change Coordinator.
Releases work orders to factory based on Master Schedule dates, lead-time of components, and shop capacity. Monitors Progress. Establishes priorities for work centers and departments. Reports schedule deviations and initiates recovery plans.
Expedites suppliers for materials and data needed to meet Master Schedule due dates.
Serves as Buyer/Planner for common components. Purchases items set up on blanket orders. Performs inventory planning for necessary safety stock items. Assures purchased items are arriving on time to meet schedules.
Prepares work orders for factory by assuring engineering documents and routes are prepared. Reviews Bill of Material requirements, checks materials on-hand, and creates requisitions for shortages.
