The role involves creating and updating integrated engineering design processes, ensuring alignment with local, national, and jurisdictional regulations, codes, and standards, and leading the integration of design and requirements management tools into new nuclear projects from concept through commissioning.
Core duties include developing engineering solutions to meet plant and system design requirements, identifying verification and validation needs, providing technical guidance to engineering teams and external stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement of requirements management and design processes.
- Develop and execute requirements management and design processes for BWRX‑300 nuclear projects.
- Lead integration of design tools and methodologies across concept, detailed design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Identify and manage verification and validation requirements at plant, system, and component levels.
- Provide technical guidance and training to engineering teams, customers, and third‑party partners.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes to enhance quality, performance, cost, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with USNRC, CNSC, IAEA, and other regulatory codes and standards.

Required qualifications are a B.S. in engineering, at least three years in systems engineering, licensing, design process, and requirements management, and a minimum of six years overall engineering or design experience; desired experience includes nuclear projects, IBM Rational DOORS/ELM, large‑scale infrastructure design, and knowledge of USNRC, CNSC, and IAEA licensing.
- Utilize IBM Rational DOORS/ELM or similar tools for requirements management.
- Minimum 3 years systems engineering/licensing experience and 6 years overall engineering/design experience; B.S. in engineering required.
- Preferred experience with nuclear power plants, large‑scale infrastructure, and engineering change management.
