The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in supporting JLL's facility operations by ensuring reliable operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment across assigned facilities. This position contributes to exceptional client experiences by maintaining optimal building conditions and supporting seamless facility operations, working both independently and alongside other engineers.
- Perform preventive maintenance and address repair work orders for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
- Conduct facility inspections and report conditions affecting client occupancy.
- Execute interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing furniture or doors.
- Support operations teams with building and equipment maintenance as directed.
- Relocate office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials per client or facility requests.
- Replace lighting fixtures, clean HVAC coils, and change filters and belts to ensure optimal performance.
- Update work order status in real‑time using CMMS (e.g., 360 Facility) and submit required documentation.
- Deliver strong customer service and professional client interactions.

The position is based on‑site in Latham, NY, with standard business hours (9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday) and occasional overtime. The estimated compensation range is $49,920‑$54,080 per year, and the role does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess 1–3 years of experience in building repair, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lb and climb ladders up to 30 ft safely.
- Pass background, drug/alcohol, and other required screenings.
- Work independently while following safety procedures and complying with local codes.
- Preferred: Hold certifications in building maintenance, mechanical, or electrical systems.
- Preferred: Have experience with CMMS platforms.
- Preferred: Possess additional licenses required by local authorities.
- Preferred: Experience in commercial office, healthcare, or similar environments.
- Preferred: Knowledge of HVAC, building automation, and energy management systems.
- Preferred: Experience with mobile maintenance and multi‑site facility management.
- Preferred: Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills for client‑facing roles.
