In this role you will manage costs and procurement while supporting the commercial delivery of residential projects. Working both independently and within a wider commercial team, you will maintain cost certainty, produce accurate reporting and collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments, remeasurements and final accounts
- Prepare and maintain accurate cost value reconciliations (CVCs), cash flows and contract sum analyses
- Support the negotiation of client final accounts and ensure effective documentation of change
- Attend design and coordination meetings, providing commercial insight and risk awareness
- Collaborate with Technical and Production teams to align commercial and programme goals
- Ensure compliance with Hill processes, ISO9001 standards, and relevant legislation
- Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of collaboration and improvement
- Engage with subcontractors, ensuring timely communication, payments and issue resolution

The ideal candidate will hold an HND/HNC or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction or Building Studies and have experience in contract or quantity surveying on residential developments. Membership of RICS or CIOB is preferred, and you should demonstrate strong commercial awareness, analytical ability, knowledge of UK building regulations and health & safety, and excellent stakeholder communication skills.

- Working towards or full membership of RICS or CIOB (preferred)
- Strong commercial awareness, numeracy and analytical skills
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Health & Safety requirements
- Proficient in subcontract documentation, remeasurement, and value engineering
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with procurement planning, reporting tools and construction methodology
