The Maintenance Program Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a variety of maintenance programs within the Maintenance Department. The role balances focused responsibility with broader support tasks such as corrective‑action program analysis, self‑assessments, benchmarking, inspection readiness, performance indicator updates, and knowledge‑transfer initiatives. The specialist also serves on multiple committees, provides business‑analyst functions, and may act as an Emergency Response Organization member.
Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, such as an SRO license, an associate's degree with four years, or a high school diploma with six years. Preferred qualifications include eight years of utility or related industry experience, training in corrective‑action/root‑cause analysis, a Root Cause Evaluator certification, and knowledge of contract administration and budgeting.
