Civil Engineer

Description

• Overseeing CAD designers and project coordination with other departments, professions, and agencies.
• Assemble bid packages and request for proposals (RFPs).
• Coordinating permit technicians and administration in completing permit applications and moving permit application process forward.
• Construction observations, preparing field observation reports of construction activity, and witnessing critical tasks during construction.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal skills are required. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook are required.
• Representing Johnson Engineering as district engineer for Community Development Districts (CDDs). Ability to understand construction plans, permits, and plats to determine CDDs responsibilities. Comfortable attending and speaking at public CDD board meetings.
• Community Development District (CDD) experience is desired.
• Position requires contact with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Must have an excellent driving record and have a valid Florida driver’s license as driving is an essential part of the position.
• Engineer or project manager with 4 years or more of experience in civil engineering development projects or equivalent experience.
• Ability to write technical reports, scopes of work, letters, project summaries, and emails.
