Assist in the role of the field mechanic to make the repairs necessary in the field and perform preventive maintenance practices necessary to increase service life of the equipment
Assist in ensuring DOT rules and guidelines are met for DOT trucks and notify the supervisor when these guidelines are not being adhered to.
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
Diagnose and repair heavy Dump Trucks, Ready Mix Trucks, and light-duty vehicles
Assist in the repair and overhaul of the various equipment which will include insofar as is practical, autos and trucks, pumps, air compressors, transmissions, controls, and accessories, etc
Perform random inspections to ensure all DOT regulations are being performed
Diagnose and repair heavy dump trucks, ready mix trucks, and truck fleet maintenance issues

Able to perform repairs in accordance with OSHA safety regulations
High School Diploma / GED
Mechanical aptitude
Minimum 5 years of experience with heavy trucks preferred
Experienced with diesel engines, hydraulic components, and electrical systems
Requires lifting up to 50 lbs
Job Requires the following motions: climbing, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, vibrating, and reaching
Effective communication and organization skills
