Operations Supervisor

• Carry out servicing and remedial works to various system types
• Installing larger blocks alongside other engineers, subbies or junior engineers
• Ensure installed heads & pipe match with sprinkler designs, issue as built videos and marked up drawings with any alterations
• Wiring of zone valves flow switches, PDV’s, pumps
• Installation of dedicated sprinkler plant equipment, pump, tanks and alarm panels.
• Monitoring all aspects of project progress to ensure that they comply with all quality aspects and Health & Safety requirements.
• Carrying out site inspections and site surveys

We are looking for a reliable experienced engineer (min 5years) who will thrive in a dynamic, challenging but rewarding environment. Travelling and working away may be required, we have jobs all over the UK, predominantly London & South East.

The Fire protection industry in the UK is experiencing a major growth and as such we are recruiting an enthusiastic sprinkler engineer with time served experience working with and understanding the current regulations of Domestic and Residential BS9251.

• Willing to accept responsibility for technical aspects of a contract, including additional works discussion with site managers, commissioning, final inspection.
• Comprehensive understanding of BS9251:2021 – to be fully acquainted with all aspects
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential fire sprinkler installations, both small and large projects is essential
• Must be able to read sprinkler designs
• General understanding of BS9251:2021 particular to where coverage for sprinklers in necessary, exclusions zones and shadow areas
• Installations on domestic projects under your own steam, being self-reliant to handover domestic/small projects
• SSSTS training / Managerial experience
• BS9251 equivalent awarded installation course/certificate of training
• Ability to work on own initiative and ability to solve technical problems and value engineering solutions that have positive impacts on a project.
• Willing to offer support to junior engineers and training when required
• Knowledge of pump and tank installations and wiring
• Must have a Manual UK driving licence
• Must have a valid CSCS card.
• Knowledge of alarms/ panel wiring understanding
• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Packages

Salary: 45-50k
