Senior Structural Engineer

Description

• Support continuous improvement of engineering standards, systems, and processes.
• Performing design calculations for structural steel work and structural concrete and providing input to the design team.
• Lead and perform tasks and deliverables within the agreed budget, schedule and project scope.
• Lead Structural engineering for processing plant facilities from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Prepare complete technical specifications, engineering scope, and other documentation.
• Provide design input to and check 3D models and drawings.
• Assist with proposals to provide professional services.

Requirements

• Sound understanding of project management principles and controls.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural)
• Demonstrated experience in performing design calculations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically.
• Attention to detail, clear and concise technical report writing.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in design/consultancy/operational environment in an engineering capacity
• Experience in Heavy Industry, Minerals Processing, Energy or Chemicals industry preferred.
