Join the movement to power a cleaner future as a Renewables Safety Manager. In this role you will plan, organize, and implement the company’s safety program on construction projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and corporate environmental, health and safety regulations. The position involves extensive travel across the United States, with up to 100 % on‑site work, 8‑12 months per project, a provided vehicle, daily per‑diem and routine home‑rotation.
Safety leadership is central to the company’s culture. The Safety Manager will provide direction to onsite staff, lead safety committees, conduct inspections, manage incident reporting, and champion a Zero‑Injury System while also overseeing environmental compliance and emergency response on each project.
- Oversee and manage the entire safety program on complex renewable construction projects.
- Conduct daily workplace safety checks and enforce Stop Work Authority when infractions occur.
- Provide guidance and corrective action to construction staff to eliminate hazards.
- Lead safety committees, chair site meetings, and present safety metrics to management.
- Track, compile, and report leading‑indicator safety statistics to project leadership.
- Maintain first‑aid, emergency response supplies, and administer drug/alcohol testing on‑site.
- Implement the Zero Injury System and ensure compliance with all OSHA/MSHA regulations.
- Perform environmental inspections, enforce permitting requirements, and manage the Hazard Communication Program.
- Develop, implement, and maintain site‑specific safety plans in partnership with project managers.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training covering topics such as fall protection, confined space, and lockout/tagout.
- Mentor and coach apprentices, fostering skill development and safety culture.
- Maintain incident documentation, injury management, and liaison with local medical providers.

The role has two levels: Safety Manager I (minimum 2‑3 years construction‑safety experience) with a salary range of $87,600‑$96,500, and Safety Manager II (3‑5 years experience) with a range of $96,500‑$115,000. Preferred education includes an associate or bachelor’s degree and CHST or other BCSP certification, which must be obtained within one year of hire.
