The Leasing Agent reports to the General Manager and plays a key role in leasing and marketing while maintaining positive resident relations. Responsibilities include managing apartment rentals, overseeing move‑ins and lease renewals, generating and qualifying leads, preparing lease documentation, and completing move‑in procedures in line with company policies.
Reporting to the Leasing Manager, the agent will greet prospective clients, conduct tours, and highlight apartment features. They will handle applications, deposits, lease paperwork, and coordinate move‑in and move‑out processes. The role includes responding to inquiries, preparing approvals, supporting marketing and sales efforts, updating reports, and ensuring Fair Housing compliance. Additionally, the agent will manage service requests, plan resident events, maintain accurate commission records, and keep the office and model units clean and ready.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience in residential property or rental operations) and prior property‑management experience, preferably in a university setting. Proficiency with property‑management software such as RealPage or Entrata, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and excellent customer‑service abilities are required. A Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to train is also desired.
