The intern will support Crew Chiefs in boundary, topographic and construction layout surveys, conduct as‑built surveys, operate Trimble Total Stations and GPS equipment, perform field calculations and quality checks, and help maintain survey instruments and vehicles. Collaboration with team members ensures data accuracy and field safety while working outdoors throughout the year.
Bohler’s Raleigh and Charlotte, NC offices are seeking a Survey Crew Member Intern for the Summer of 2026 to join the field team supporting projects throughout their local markets. In this role you’ll assist with boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys that help shape communities, roads, and commercial developments. Working closely with your Crew Chief and project team, you’ll gain hands‑on experience that can open doors to advanced field or in‑office survey positions.

Interns gain exposure to a diverse range of land‑development projects across commercial, residential and infrastructure markets.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with coursework or experience in land surveying preferred, and 0‑1+ years of relevant survey experience. Required skills include a working knowledge of survey equipment, strong math abilities, attention to detail, the ability to lift at least 50 lb, a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.
