The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2‑3 years of experience, or a Level 2 VT plus 5 years in structural steel, and possesses Certified Welding Inspector and ICC S‑1 Bolting Inspector certifications (the latter within three months of hire). Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and willingness to travel up to 90% are required.
The position demands frequent standing, walking, climbing, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as close‑vision work and comfort working at heights. Overtime may be required, and reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
