Supervising the activities of skilled mechanics in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems at JFK airport, with a focus on aeronautical lighting, signage, and equipment.
Reading, reviewing, and working from contract drawings (blueprints) and contract specifications, and making comments/recommendations regarding maintenance aspects of proposed new construction or alterations.
Review and comment on contract drawings and facility alterations and evaluate them for their impact on the operation and maintenance systems.
Performing audits on materials, equipment, inventoried spare parts, etc.
Participating in the unit’s electrical safety program.
Performing airfield inspections and walkthroughs.
Administering and supervising airfield electrical maintenance routines to maintain compliance with FAA FAR 139 certifications.

Providing ongoing support for facility construction projects.
