Candidate must possess five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in building construction trades including HVAC/R, as well as three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Candidate must possess knowledge of building construction methods and practices, including reading blueprints and quality control and knowledge of budget processes (including developing cost estimates for equipment and materials).
Candidate must possess an associate degree, preferably in Business, Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field.
Experience working with Collective Bargaining Union workforce and contractors preferred.
Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication, as well as a superior commitment to high-quality service and the ability to successfully build and sustain positive and collaborative working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The ability to read, interpret and write plans, specifications, working drawings and project schedules and the ability to effectively use progressive project and/or contract management techniques to successfully initiate and manage construction projects is essential. Attention to detail and organizational skills, time management to prioritize workloads based on available resources and time constraints and multi-tasking skills to work on multiple tasks simultaneously are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Excel and Word software.
