Civil Engineer (Design)

Description

As a Civil Engineer you will work alongside a multidisciplinary design team to develop accurate and detailed engineering designs and drawings in support of the Design Department. You will contribute to projects that reflect Coffey’s commitment to safe, innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

• Assist in preparing technical design reports and supporting documentation.
• Participate actively in design reviews, contributing positively to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Maintain drawing registers and manage drawing revisions with accuracy
• Apply sound understanding of civil engineering design principles while seeking opportunities to innovate and improve.
• Support senior design engineers in delivering civil engineering infrastructure designs, including water, wastewater, roads, and concrete structures.
• Prepare construction-ready plans, layouts, sections, setting-out information and detailed drawings.
• Ensure all models and documentation comply with company BIM standards, protocols, and procedures.

Requirements

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our fast-growing engineering team. This role plays a key part in delivering complex civil engineering projects across Ireland, contributing to Coffey’s commitment to Excellence, Innovation and Integrity in everything we do. This is a Hybrid role and can be based in either Maynooth or Galway.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• A Level 8 Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience preparing civil infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating accountability
