The PCA manages all project cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
The PCA insures quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
The PCA creates, develops and implements account process improvement(s).
The PCA plans for, manages, monitors and maintains project profitability to achieve Company goals.
The PCA researches technical accounting issues for compliance
The PCA routinely participates in cost review meetings with project team.
The PCA collaborates with project personnel to prepare all required project reporting.

The Project Cost Analyst must have proven problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; willingness to accept responsibility for projects/processes and ability to work with limited direct supervision, highly-motivated, resourceful
Must have experience with creating financial statements
Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
Must have 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience on large projects $2M+
Must have experience in customer interface, such as liaison between the customer and the Company.
Prefer project management experience related to ordering materials, P6 Scheduling and Critical Path Methodology
Must have prior working experience as a project cost analyst
The PCA supports month-end and year-end close process
Must have experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close processes
The Project Cost Analyst must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
The Project Cost Analyst must have the ability to learn Company and customer project management systems.
Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere
Must have excellent accounting software user and administration skills
The Project Cost Analyst must able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
