PCB/Hardware Design Assistance: Contribute to schematic entry and PCB layout tasks under the guidance of senior engineers using Altium Designer.
Testing and Lab Work: Support the setup and execution of tests on prototype circuits and systems, including functional and performance testing of UPS and STS units.
Technical Documentation: Prepare test records, reports, and technical notes summarizing results and observations.
HIL Testing Assistance: Contribute to HIL setup development and real-time testing tasks under the guidance of senior engineers using Typhoon HIL setups.
Tracking personal progress on assigned design tasks (e.g., circuit block design or test setup).
Occasional visits to the manufacturing floor may be required.
Simulation Support: Assist in developing and running simulation models using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, or PSCAD to represent power electronic circuits and systems.
Troubleshooting: Assist engineers in investigating issues and proposing potential solutions.
Research and Learning: Stay informed about the fundamentals of converter topologies, control techniques, and new developments in power electronics.
What you bring

Demonstrated interest and research background in renewable energy, battery storage, and UPS systems, supported by publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks like simulations, PCB design, lab testing, and documentation within project timelines.
Clear reporting of test results, design issues, or progress updates to supervisors and team members.
This role is based in an office environment with regular time in the lab for testing and prototype development.
Currently enrolled in a PhD degree program in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
Completed coursework in circuits, power electronics, or control systems.
Experience with Python, or data acquisition systems for test automation.
