Overview
1998
Founded in 1998
The company was established in 1998 by Albert and Liza Smitherman, marking the beginning of its journey from a concrete-focused startup to a full-service construction firm.
As a minority-owned regional player based in Cincinnati with offices also in Dayton and Lexington, they deliver impactful projects across a 120-mile radius.
They self-perform concrete pump, place and finishing work via their subsidiary Brewster Pumping, ensuring quality and cost control.
Typical projects include commercial offices, healthcare facilities, sports venues, parking garages and cultural sites.
Highlights range from the TQL Stadium and Cincinnati Zoo reinvestments to critical care hospital builds and office-campus renovations.
They combine traditional craft with modern tools—leveraging AI for estimating and project forecasting.
Standout fact: selected for Skanska USA’s national Excellence in Construction Leadership Program that spotlights high-performing diverse firms.
