Senior Analyst - General Accounting

Description

• Partner with property managers and clients to deliver accurate property accounts.
• Serve as the key finance business partner for JLL Property Managers.
• Ensure compliance with trust and property accounting policies.
• Lead and participate in monthly finance training sessions.
• Produce financial reports for a portfolio of assets/clients.
• Coordinate month‑end reporting with property managers.
• Prepare and process journal entries.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Create IFRS rent‑smoothing and incentive amortisation journals.
• Reconcile annual tenant outgoings and liaise with auditors.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Reconcile GST reports.
• Process client remittances.
• Review purchase orders older than three months for validity.
• Transition new properties into the portfolio and cease management when required.
• Follow internal compliance processes and complete six‑monthly audit checklists.
• Review end‑to‑end work assigned to the Senior Analyst.
• Prevent breaches of internal controls.
• Eliminate errors and deliver timely, accurate information.
• Promote collaboration between finance and property management teams.
• Drive efficiencies in the finance team aligned with CAS initiatives and KPIs.
• Contribute to system upgrades and enhancements from a business perspective.
• Identify key issues and patterns from partial or conflicting data.
• Assess problems using standard procedures and make sound decisions.
• Work within established procedures with moderate supervision.

Requirements

• Strong finance background with a commerce or postgraduate qualification.
• 4–5 years operational/general‑ledger accounting experience, profit‑and‑loss and balance‑sheet analysis; real‑estate accounting a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, logical thinking and a positive attitude.
• Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated effective work habits and ability to create an amicable environment.
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple, changing priorities.
• High proficiency in MS Office and real‑estate related software.
