Develop annual H&S action plans.
Develop KPIs and metrics to monitor H&S performance and report to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
Organise and deliver H&S presentations to our employees / contractors.
Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s H&S management systems, policies, and procedures in line with legislative requirements and industries’ best practices.
Represent Roadstone in regulatory inspections and external forums when required.
Provide expert, professional advice, guidance and counsel when required on H&S matters.
Ensure compliance with all applicable H&S legislation.
Engage with all levels of staff and subcontractors to promote health and safety responsibilities and awareness.
Liaise with the Senior Management Team, Operation Managers, Location Managers, employees and contractors in relation to HSE requirements.
Provide H&S documentation and responses for tendering purposes.
Deliver and coordinate health and safety training across the business to increase awareness and competence.
Maintain and develop systems for statutory reporting, incident tracking, and trend analysis.
Complete monthly and annual H&S statistics reports.
Collate and submit health and safety indicators.
Liaise with external bodies and with CRH to ensure all regulations are in place and are adhered to.
Implement regular audits, site inspections, and risk assessments, providing actionable recommendations and ensuring timely closure of findings. Conduct occasional audits as needed.
Mentor, guide and manage the wider Health & Safety Team.
Manage accident/incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
Provide direction and advice to senior management on requirements to reduce any risks in the workplace.
Collaboration with HR team on Occupational Health Surveillance programmes.
Lead the development of internal safety campaigns and safety improvement programmes.
Foster a culture of openness, collaboration, and shared responsibility for health and safety across the organisation.
Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and participation in safety forums.
Lead and support operational teams in embedding a proactive safety culture.
Drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance across quarrying, asphalt, concrete, transport, and civil operations.

Proven experience in managing safety in high-risk environments.
Training qualifications (e.g., Train the Trainer, IOSH Managing Safely delivery).

Team player with an ability to work on own initiative with positive attitude.
