PM Rigger

Description

The rigging technician is responsible for setting up or repairing rigging on construction projects while maintaining safety standards. The work involves aligning, leveling, and anchoring machinery, attaching loads, pulleys, and blocks, and controlling equipment movement in confined spaces. Collaboration with crane operators and thorough inspection of equipment are essential to ensure safe operations.

• Align, level, and anchor machinery
• Attach loads to rigging using hand and power tools
• Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts and clamps
• Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces using chainfalls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or defects
• Climb ladders to measure or inspect the product
• Communicate with crane operator to ensure safe movement and passage
• Stand on feet for 8‑12 hour shifts
• Maintain balance in unstable positions

Requirements

• Ability to climb, lift, balance, bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and legs
• Push and pull up to 30 lb
• Lift up to 50 lb
• Work outside day/night (6 pm‑6 am)
