Key duties include overseeing daily electrical tasks, adhering to OSHA safety standards, interpreting manuals and schematics, and performing installation, testing, and troubleshooting of transformers, inverters, breakers, and SCADA equipment. The electrician works under the Lead Solar Electrician, conducts preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensures all company‑issued tools and equipment are accounted for.

- Conduct DC and AC testing, including polarity, open‑circuit voltage, grounding continuity, and insulation resistance.
- Account for all issued vehicles, tools, electronics, software, and company property.
- Supervise and train up to 10 apprentice electricians, teaching safe tool use per OSHA standards.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on solar site equipment and wiring.
- Operate test equipment such as voltmeters, meggers, and amp meters.
- Work with electrical systems up to 600/1000 VDC and 480 VAC.
- Collaborate with mechanical and other departments as needed.
- Perform terminations and electrical connections for PV solar systems.
- Work in extreme outdoor environments (heat, cold, wet, mud, etc.).
- Maintain full mobility in upper and lower body for various physical positions.
- Lift, pull, and push materials and equipment, safely handling 50 lb loads.
- Work 8‑12 hour days, 40 hours per week, with overtime and occasional night shifts.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance while representing the company.
- Keep work area tidy and adhere to flexible scheduling requirements.
- Report safety or job‑related issues to the immediate supervisor.
- Comply with all OHSA safety regulations.
