Join Arcus as an In‑Store Cleaner at Sainsbury’s and help keep the supermarket sparkling for customers. The role is part‑time, fixed‑term until February 2026, with an hourly rate of £12.21 and immediate start available. You will work as part of a team in a customer‑focused environment.
Cleaners are responsible for daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the store. Duties include operating cleaning machinery, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and wiping surfaces, as well as cleaning toilets, ceilings, windows, oven canopies and trolley bays. All health and safety procedures must be followed.
No prior cleaning experience is required as full training is provided, although previous experience is advantageous. Candidates need an eye for detail, a positive attitude toward cleaning and customer service, and a smartphone with NFC capability for the Arcus Connect attendance app.
Arcus offers flexible shift patterns across 5‑ and 6‑day weeks, with early‑morning, morning, afternoon and evening shifts, including weekends. Example schedules include 15.5‑hour weeks (early mornings) and 18‑hour weeks (evening shifts), with the option to increase hours through overtime.
