Industrial Hygienist

Description

The Industrial Hygienist supports a variety of environmental and industrial health projects, contributing to high‑quality client outcomes. The position blends field sampling, data interpretation, and technical reporting with mentorship and safety leadership.

• Collect and analyze noise, water, air, and building material samples.
• Write, review, and deliver technical reports.
• Perform industrial hygiene assessments for chemical and noise exposures.
• Conduct indoor environmental quality evaluations, air monitoring, and building material sampling.
• Assess water intrusion, mold, moisture mapping, and visible biological growth.
• Execute mold sampling, clearance protocols, and asbestos sampling/abatement oversight.
• Oversee lead‑based paint inspections, sampling, and clearance testing.
• Assist with overall project oversight and mentor staff.
• Ensure safe work practices on all project activities.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science/Engineering (Master’s a plus).
• 1‑3 years of technical experience with industrial hygiene, asbestos, mold, or lead sampling.
• Relevant inspector certifications (asbestos, lead, mold) preferred.
• Additional EHS certifications or interest in obtaining them desired.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations for asbestos.
• Ability to work in respirators and protective clothing.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and strong research/analytical skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with a solid safety record.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving history, and reliable transportation.
• HAZWOPER 40‑hour training with current refresher preferred; 80‑90% fieldwork/travel required.
