The Role

Overview

Oversee MEP/FP engineering from design through commissioning on construction projects.

Tasks

-Serve as a technical resource and mentor to project team members and field personnel. -Coordinate field inspections, startup, and testing/commissioning of MEP/FP systems. -Assist in evaluating MEP-related cost impacts, value engineering options, and project risks. -Review and coordinate MEP/FP design documents for constructability and system integration. -Evaluate subcontractor proposals, scopes of work, and prequalification packages. -Collaborate with commissioning agents to verify system performance and documentation. -Review and track MEP submittals, RFIs, and change orders. -Support the development of MEP schedules and sequencing in coordination with project teams. -Participate in design and coordination meetings with consultants, owners, and project teams. -Troubleshoot MEP system issues and work with subcontractors to resolve them. -Monitor MEP construction progress and ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and code requirements. -Provide MEP/FP technical oversight from preconstruction through closeout.

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. -Clear and effective communicator -5-10 years of experience in the construction industry. -Outstanding attention to detail. -Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. -Team player that can interact with all project team members, subcontractors, field staff, and clients. -5+ years of experience with M/E/P design, commissioning, and construction -Ability to work on multiple projects or tasks at once. -Proactive and innovative problem solver.
