The Role
Overview
Manage contract administration, commercial risk and financial health for a nuclear refurbishment JV.

Tasks
-Review, negotiate and draft project commercial agreements, including confidentiality agreements, purchase orders, contracts, consortium agreements, joint venture agreements and, having regard for their practical application and inherent risk. -Identify and analyze potential commercial risks and liabilities associated with ongoing project and associated supplier agreements. -Attends steering committee meetings between AtkinsRéalis and other partners and prepares minutes of meeting recording agreed decisions and actions going forward. -Assist project staff with identification, documentation, and quantification of changes in the Work and claims. -Obtain the assistance of the appropriate Legal department, as required. -Prepare project specific contract administration manuals based on corporate template. -You will work closely with the Joint Venture Leadership, to deliver the project commercial strategy and ultimately support the management of project agreement throughout the delivery phase of the project. -Assist project staff with the interpretation and practical application of contract documents. -You will act as a key point of contact to Client for contractual matters. You must be able to deal with the client on delicate matters tactfully and professionally while protecting all JV Partner interests. -Have the responsibility supporting the Contract Management function on a Major Refurbishment project within a Joint Venture environment. -Assist in formation and administration of contracts with Subcontractors and ensure that required and relevant terms and conditions are flowed down to Subcontractors. -Liaison with Project Controls Manager, Project Finance Director and other key Project Leadership to monitor and manage the financial health of the project. -Liaise with and provide guidance on contract matters to the project team at all levels. -Provide presentations and workshops, as required by the Supervisor, to the employees with respect to contract administration including, corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines, change and delay management.

What You Bring
-Superior communication and writing skills. -Experience in commercial governance, contract management and project delivery. -Ability to reconcile usually disparate objectives of buyer and seller as contracting parties. -Proven ability to organize, set priorities and handle multiple complex tasks at one time consistent with corporate processes. -Experience in communicating with various stakeholder groups from internal project staff to clients, subcontractors and the executive team. -Strong administrative and organizational skills. -Experience in Intellectual Property management. -Ability to effectively present information at both detail and summary level. Ability to interact with executive management and operational level staff. -Access to confidential information to support medium-and long-term financial analysis and planning. -University degree in Engineering, Finance or Law, or an MBA, with at least experience in a similar role in a construction or high technology industry. Formal training in contract law or contract administration is an asset. -Understanding of client and client organizations, objectives, personnel, and environments. -Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
