Key responsibilities include overseeing the creation of technical design solutions and studies, providing technical authority as the EOR, and contributing to an integrated project team. The role requires analyzing, developing, and evaluating systems, improving existing ones, or creating new projects, as well as designing and drafting blueprints, visiting field sites, and managing projects with minimal supervision.
The engineer will apply engineering techniques within assignment scopes, handle complex issues, and refer only the most challenging problems to senior staff. Leadership duties involve coaching, mentoring, and potentially acting as a first‑level supervisor for a subordinate group.
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer, PE I for a full‑time, exempt role reporting to the Engineering Director. The position involves being the Engineer of Record (EOR) and working within an integrated project team to develop electrical engineering designs, studies, and solutions.
Applicants must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license, have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and possess 4–6 years of relevant experience. Required skills include strong proficiency in Revit, familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC), and competence with the Microsoft Office Suite, alongside excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and detail‑oriented multitasking abilities.
Preferred qualifications include experience designing healthcare, higher‑education, and central energy plant (CEP) electrical infrastructure projects, as well as expertise in medium‑voltage protection, power distribution, and paralleled generator systems at medium voltage and below.
The role entails 5–10% travel to job sites or office locations and requires prolonged periods of desk work, occasional climbing stairs, and light physical activity such as moving objects up to 20 pounds in a quiet environment.
