Description

The role centers on providing excellent customer service to marina patrons, both in person and via telephone or VHF radio, and ensuring smooth operation of marina amenities, reservations, and safety protocols.

• Greet customers in person, by telephone and VHF radio with proper etiquette
• Answer all marina inquiries promptly and concisely
• Manage transient reservations
• Provide training and guidance to coworkers
• Assist clients with vessel securement on arrival and departure
• Implement marina hurricane protocol as needed
• Prioritize daily duties
• Conduct daily dock inspections
• Perform daily trash pickup on docks and water
• Remove hazardous waste from vessels
• Provide sewage pump‑out services
• Keep docks, crew lounge, office and restroom clean and neat
• Wash and wax dock boxes regularly
• Operate company golf carts
• Operate company vessels
• Assist with marina and equipment maintenance
• Oversee vessel fueling to prevent spills
• Follow oil/fuel spill safety procedures
• Assess situations and select appropriate tools and actions
• Oversee projects from start to finish
• Maintain neat, presentable appearance in uniform daily
• Work four 10‑hour days per week

Requirements

The position is located at Fontainebleau Development LLC in Aventura, Florida (33180) and is classified under the Facilities category. It is offered as both full‑time and part‑time with a day shift schedule, and requires a high school diploma or GED. No travel is required for this role.

Candidates must be reliable, punctual, and presentable in uniform daily, with the ability to work 4 days of 10 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays on either day or night shifts. Bilingual ability is preferred.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift at least 40 lb, crawl under docks, and work in all weather conditions. A clean driving record and basic knowledge of hand/power tools, electrical and plumbing systems are also required.

While prior marina experience is a plus, the employer values a strong work ethic, willingness to receive supervision, and the capacity to work independently and make sound decisions.
