Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Leverage vendors/subcontractors across multiple procurements to create cost savings to projects.
Monitor shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
Confer with staff, users and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or service and determine corrective action.
Support procurement staff meetings and provide legal communication to the team as needed.
Work to resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues.
Purchase the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts per specifications and drawings.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Support supply chain with identification of mandatory and recommended prime contract flow-down clauses for incorporation into vendor contract templates, and work with Supply Chain Managers to develop/review project-specific templates.
Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFP’s) and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals to identify vendors/subcontractors who meet project constraints of budget and schedule at the estimating, execution and site purchasing levels.
Assist in the development of company-wide procurement templates.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships and manage supplier-specific vendor template negotiations.
Assist in negotiating high-risk contracts for various projects.
Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history.

Experience and understanding of Contracts
Minimum of 3 years' negotiation experience (preferred)
SAP Experience a plus
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Regular, reliable attendance
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Engineering and/or Construction related role (required)
Thorough understanding of all areas of procurement is desirable, including procurement execution, estimating, expediting, offsite supplier quality and site purchasing
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
General knowledge of database utilization
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel)
Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management or related OR relevant experience
