Work component design leads and analysis engineers to evaluate specific component issues, develop local models or modify existing, and provide insights and feedback to design teams for action
Use existing models and methods defined by the Natrium analysis team and work inside the analysis suite
Perform thermal model development and/or model modification for reactor structures evaluating thermal profiles of various configurations and recommendations for modifications or optimization (workbench type analysis)
Perform thermal modeling of fluid-structure interfaces, including metallic structure thermal problems with structure conductive heat transfer, air convective heat transfer, radiation, and sodium-structure heat transfer modes
Perform follow-on scope for preparation and/or Design Verification of Quality Level 1 (Safety Related) calculations
Perform non-record evaluations of various configurations and joints to assess specific areas of challenge or modifications

Motor Abilities: Sitting and/or standing for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control (hands)
Physical exertion and/or requirements: Minimal, with ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant equivalent program from an accredited university.
Experience and expertise in ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1 and high temperature applications
Qualification indoctrination to quality program to perform preparation or verification activities
The service provider will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork.
Work Conditions: Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of
Travel required: 15% for periodic meeting with technical staff
Special Senses: Visual and audio focused work
Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience.
