  • Plan, schedule, and deliver UAV survey projects in line with client requirements, budgets, and timelines.
  • Identify and pursue new UAV project opportunities to expand service offerings.

Murphy Geospatial HR Philosophy

Murphy Geospatial is seeking an experienced UAS Manager to lead and develop our UAS services across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a geospatial professional to play a strategic role in shaping UAS operations, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality survey projects. You will oversee all stages of UAS projects, from planning to completion, while managing a dedicated team of UAS operators and data processors.

Murphy Geospatial captures, collates, verifies and governs geospatial data, enabling our clients to make informed decisions across the project lifecycle. Proven geospatial solutions through design, construction and inuse phases of projects across six key sectors; Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Energy, Utilities, Property and Natural Environment.

  • Current CAA GVC certification and recent UAV flying hours
  • Detailed understanding of UAV software platforms, such as planning, flying and processing packages
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Full clean UK manual driving licence.
  • Strong time and priority management skills.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and technically aware.
  • Extensive commercial UAV flying experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Membership to appropriate institution (Desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of UAV technology, sensors, and processing software.
  • Proven UAV project management experience, including client engagement.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the geospatial/surveying industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of budgets and deadlines.
  • Right to work in the UK.
