Attend pre-construction and construction meetings, any issues or concerns relating to the project will be documented and shared with the PM.
Meet with the client representative (customer) to confirm quantities daily.
Keep progress schedule current, review schedule status and job costs at a minimum of once a week.
Communicates with subcontractors and other employees to ensure the procurement of supplies and materials as needed.
Ensure specifications within the project proposal and plans are followed.
With the assistance of the PM ensure that all change orders and force accounts are properly completed and documented.
Delegate tasks to be completed by Crew Leads and regulates the completion of successful day-to-day operations.
Review job schedules and cost breakdowns, resolving any potential issues with the PM prior to work progression.
Operating engineers may be expected to perform equipment and materials inspections.
Coordinates with Project Engineers and Crew Leads to ensure the progression of projects in a timely manner while being heavily involved with day-to-day allocation of resources.
Travel and work at remote sites within Southeast Alaska communities may be required.
Coordinates with the Safety team and HR to ensure all company and government safety regulations are being met.
Wear all proper personal protective equipment.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret plans, specifications, external and internal policies/guidelines/regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and effectively present information to large groups and interact with managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must be able to understand specifications and instructions, both verbal and written.
Working with heavy-duty machinery requires knowledge of and strict adherence to safety regulations.
Basic computer knowledge including knowledge of email, Power point, MS Word, Excel, and internet applications. Ability to learn corporate programs.
Must be able to pass a drug screening and a PAT (physical abilities test).
OSHA 10 hr Certification.
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related and 5-7 years of proven ability OR 10 years of proven ability in management of large projects and DOT experience.
Driver’s License
MSHA Certification.
Exert force of 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds constantly.
Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays. Typical weekly work hours can meet or exceed 60 hours.
CPR/First Aid Certification desired.
