This role is critical in shaping the future of PQ offerings through platform innovation, design excellence, and cross-functional collaboration within the Global Product Line (GPL) framework. Incumbent will lead the development of new hardware product platforms aligned with GPL strategy and manage all HW function activities including development and quality assurance in support of Global UPS product platform development. Will act as new product hardware platform provider, technical staff resource, new hardware technology sponsor and global sustain resource support.
Monitor hardware design quality across all development stages, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and best practices.

Champion the deployment of DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) methodologies to drive process improvement and design robustness.
Act as sponsor to push VAVE activity cross functional, mostly in GPL function alignment
Ensure platforms are designed for efficient customization to meet diverse market and customer requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and introduce emerging technologies relevant to future PQ product lines.
Facilitate collaboration between engineering, product management, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to optimize cost, performance, and value.
Act as a sponsor and driver of VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) initiatives across functions.
Collaborate with regional and functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet performance, compliance, and customer expectations.
Ensure strong alignment with GPL functions to maximize strategic coherence and operational efficiency.
Provide hardware engineering resources to support product customization from the base platform.
Allocate and manage resources to build scalable, modular platforms for PQ products.

15+ years of experience in hardware product development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Leadership: Excellent strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
Computer Skills – MS Office, MS Project, knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field; PhD preferred.
